The city of Athens spreads out around the Acropolis, revealing other landmarks. In the foreground, the remaining columns of the Temple of Zeus are visible. Just above it and slightly to the left, the Athens Olympic Stadium can be seen, built into a hill. It was renovated in 1896 for the first modern Olympic Games. |
Another great view of the city is from the top of Athen's highest hill, Mount Lycabettus. A beautiful sunset can be seen from here virtually
every night, next to Ayios Georgios chapel..
